Frequently asked questions
 Is the Villa safe for children?
The villa is as safe for children as any other property, but it has got a pool
and children should not be allowed to play in or around it without supervision.
- How long/deep is the pool?
It's about 15 foot long by 8 foot wide. It has steps in the shallows and at the
other end it is about 5 foot deep.
- Are there any facilities for children?
If you request it we can provide a cot, a baby chair and a baby bath. The cot has
a mattress and a mattress cover, but you will need to bring your own linen.
- Is there a BBQ?
Yes, and plenty of logs and bay leaves to make it smell delicious!
- Are the beaches sandy or stony?
Both - there's a long stretch of beautiful golden sand in L´Ampolla, but there
are also small sheltered stony coves if you prefer.
- Where are the Supermarkets and when are they open?
Spain usually doesn't open on Sundays or holidays. There's a Suma supermarket in
L´Ampolla (a bit like Budgens), which should have everything you need. In Deltebre about 8 miles away
there is a much larger Supermarket (a bit like Tesco). Near Reus airport there is an enormous
Carrefour open 10 to 10 everyday (except Sundays and holidays of course!).
- What are the restaurants like and are they expensive?
You'll find every kind of restaurant in Costa Dorada (except Indians for some
reason). In L´Ampolla there are no Burgerkings or MacDonalds - just nice traditional fayre. However
if you'd like a pizza with chips there are a couple of restaurants in town you can go to. And as for
cost, it's really not that expensive at all.
- Is the Villa heated?
No - but if you are going out of season we can provide some calor gas heating.
Usually, unless you are extremely unlucky, the weather is wonderful between May and September and
the pool area is a real sun trap.
- Can I book on-line and is it secure?
Yes and yes. To book just go to the "bookings" page and follow the three easy steps.
The pay page itself is operated by Worldpay (part of the Royal Bank of Scotland group) and has nothing
to do with us. When you put your credit card details in we have no knowledge of, or access to your
details. All we get is your money forwarded to us (less Worldpay commission!). Their page is encrypted
so you can be assured of security.
- Is the booking information on this site up-to-date?
Yes - always. When anyone books, the information is automatically updated, so the
availability and prices you see today is the actual status and price of the villa NOW.
